SYC - COMMON GROUND

i got back from church camp today. suprisingly, it was actually really worthwhile!
it was soo much better than last camp (which was a bit dodgy)
this time, i wouldn' mind going again. it was a great experience. not exactly what you'd call "fun", wait a sec- it wasn't "fun", it was awesome.
where's my timetable..
yess.. the sermons were very enlightening, reminded me of a lot of the stuff i'd forgotten about and put things back into perspective for me.
i was reluctant to go at first (because the last camp was a nightmare) but it turns out this was the thing that i needed most.
i'm glad i went :D
there were so many cool people there. funny people.
pg1, 2 and 3 all went to one camp this time. that's what common ground stood for. pg1's for yr7-9, pg2 for 10-12 and pg3 for non english speaking koreans.
they're soo funny :D
they redefined FOB for me.

FOB = FRESH OFF THE 비행기!
that's right. koreans are now rich enough to afford planes :)

if i were to name my favourite part of the camp.. it would be the second day.
from 2.30~6pm we had to split into our cell groups and create and perform a play based on the three criterion we were given - genre, action and famous person.
we got romance, SNSD and 7 second headstand. it was one of those things you don't want to do yourself, but love watching other people do :D

ahh the f10 one was so funny.

the other cool part was the performances. the twins that won k-idol in 07' or something performed for us. THEY WERE SO GOOD OMGOD AIHDFSDFSDF
beat taylor swift. but not beyonce.

EDIT: i remembered one song they sang - Tamia - Officially missing you
they're so goooood :)

one of the other twins was also in the male team.. i think that's how you spell it. yes, well they'r a dance group and they were good too.
i was expecting the male team to be male though..
THEN OUR TEACHERS PERFORMED TOO! well the younger ones did. like the college age people. DID YOU KNOW MY PASTOR CAN FLY?
I BET YOUR PASTOR CAN'T BREAKDANCE! haha
then we had these rap/hiphop artists perform. ACTUAL RAPPERS. they did the whole gangster thingy.. and stuff..
i forgot their name tho :x
apparantly they're quite popular in korea.

the big guy told us to give him 3 things to rap about and he'd do it impromptu.
we said 1 - 엄마 2- 손 3- 맷돼지 (mom, hand(s), warthog)
he did it and did it well. PRO. i was like *0* REAL LIFE RAPPER! OSIDFSGSDFSGS.

other than the various moral things and etc i learnt from camp (i also learnt a thing or two about evolution.. i'm going to look it up then blog it later) i also now can't stop listening to abracadabra by brown eyed girls, (i hate that band)genie by snsd (i hate them too) and mister by kara (i hate them the least out of the three)
can you believe the yr7s can dance like all those girl bands. whose dances primarily consist of waving their ass around. like in abracadabra.
i was like O_O WHOAAAA.

i liked the last day's menu best.

ahh i'm so tired. i think i covered the most memorable parts. goodo. off to bed.
